Carroll Academy Kindergarten was organized on January 5, 2003 on a belief in children - in their uniqueness today and their promise for tomorrow - and in the adults that will offer their skills, experiences, and caring to the children of Carroll Academy. Our Kindergarten is accredited by the MS Private School Association.
We have a 3 year old preschool, 4 year old preschool, and a 5 year old kindergarten. The philosophy of Carroll Academy Kindergarten is to train the students in the knowledge of God and provide an environment where learning is fun. A primary objective of the school is that all associated with Carroll Academy can contribute immeasurably to the well-being and growth of one another.
Our purpose at Carroll Academy Kindergarten is multifold: To educate children so that they will develop fully their intellectual, social, and creative capabilities; to instill an enthusiasm for learning, and to develop a sense of responsible participation in society. We also hope that our students will grow in self-esteem and self-discipline, will meet the academic challenges, and care for the needs of others In addition to the academic challenges at Carroll Academy, the teachers are also committed to building a good foundation in the Christian way of life as well as the social and emotional development of each child.
Our policy is to maintain a student-teacher ratio that enhances the learning environment. Therefore, the maximum class size is 20 students per teacher. Currently, those classes that approach 20 students in number receive the addition of a teacher's assistant.
